Etymology

'Plum-tree orchard', v. plūme , plȳme , geard . In one instance worð replaces geard . As at Grange Cow Worth 184supra , it seems that worð continued as a significant word in Ch down into ME, possibly into ModE. For Plymyard Dale cf. Dale Hey Lane infra .
