'a place of land in Church Minshull , bounded on one side by Richard de Wettenhall 's hedge , which is called Dutton 'l13AddCh , c.1303ib , 'Richard de Wettenhall 's Dutton ' ' 1325ib (lit. Richarddus Dutton ' de Wetenale ), Greneduton c.1230ib , 'the lower half of Duttone '13ib , Duttun (a field , towards Wimboldsley ) 1262AddCh , 'farmyard or enclosure at a hill', from dūn and tūn , with grēne 1 'green', cf. Dutton 2112.
