Etymology

Howe Ho is Howhouse farm 1895Trinity . It is near the site of Hows House , an inn which was demolished c . 1879. This stood near the top of a long rise on the Huntingdon Road from Cambridge.At the top there is a slight dip, followed by a slight rise and steeper drop. On the slope of this is Howhill Fm in Girton (supra 177, where the etymology is discussed).
