Etymology

The forms are too late to do much with. Oving is not far away and it may be that Ovinghill has something to do with it.In that case the w is a dial. development. Cf. Oakley and Hawridge supra for a similar spelling. Such a pronunciation is common in Bucks (EDG 207–8).
