Etymology

This clearly contains the same pers name that is found in Wandon End (Herts), c. 1300 BM Wauendene , and that pers name must be the OE  cognate of the name Waba which Piper gives in the Libri Confraternitatum 363. Hence, 'Wafa's hill.'
