'Cottage(s) of Picca .' Pīc is on record in OE (Redin 22) and Picca may be inferred from Pican stapele (BCS 299) and Piccingawurþ (KCD 812). The related diminutive *Picel occurs in Pitstone eleven miles S.E. from Pitchcott. For Puche - cf. Chicheley supra .
