Etymology

Northbury Fm and Southbury Fm, Ruscombe Southbury prebenda , Ruscombe Northbury prebenda 1535 VE, Northbury , Southbury Fm 1846 Snare. The estate was apparently divided into two halves, known as 'north manor' and 'south manor', v. burh .
