Tumble Down Dick Close(Miss M. B. Footeinforms us that Tumble-down Dick Hill is the part of the B 4017 whichleads from the A 4141 to Cumnor village, and that M. W. Hughes in The Story of Cumnor(1927) says the name is that of an inn and the reference isto Oliver Cromwell's son Richard)
