Etymology

This, like Tiln supra 32, may be a river-name, of which the first element has affinities (as suggested by Ekwall in DEPN) with Dan  mysse or Swedish myssne , 'water-arum,' but no certainty is possible. Final a would in that case be OScand á , 'river,' corresponding to OE  ea.
