( 6 ″ ) is so named in 1777 (C) , and is Lopwater Hall now called Leigh House 1872 Rochford , Lopwater c. 1880 Old 6 ″ . Tradition has it that when the hall was built in 1751 , the workmen com - plained that they got no beer and were obliged to lap water ( Rochford 326 ) .
