( local , part of Abbot's Hill supra ) , closes at Judith 1684ERO , Cottage called Judith 1799ib ,1842TA ( a house ) , according to Fowler 208 ff . possibly the site of the martyrdom of St Juthware or Judware whose feast - day , July 13th , was celebrated in medieval times at Sherborne Abbey ; her decapitation by her brother for becoming a Christian may also be connected with the inn sign ( of a woman with her head in her arms ) of Ye Quiet Woman in the village ( Fowler 210 ) .
