Etymology

'Cynewald's marsh', v. mersc ; cf. Kinewaldesmers (PN Nt 287) and (for the same pers.n.) Killingwoldgraves (PN ERY 192). Professor Bruce Dickins draws attention to the form of the name Francis Kinwelmersh .
