Etymology
Frogmore, 1573SpecCom et freq ; cf. Frogemer '1224–5Ass (p), the surname of a man concerned with land at Winkfield. If this surname derives from the place in Windsor, the name means 'frog pool', v. frogga , mere , and there is later confusion with mōr 'marsh' in the second el.
