v. Sodington supra 60. This lies in the south of the parish, in contrast to Northampton supra . The form Sinton actually survives in Sinton Fm (6″) hard by (for a similar pair of forms cf. Phepson supra 137). For this form cf. Leigh Sinton supra 207. In the Evesham Cartulary (c. 1200) there is a form Sudurton which points to an alternative sūðera tun , 'southern farm.'
