Etymology

'Cufel 's open land,' v. feld . Cf. East Coulston supra 140.Geoffrey de Luveraz and Geoffrey Esturmy held manors in 1198 (Fees), Walter Loverace in 1268 (Ass ), John Luveraz in 1279 (ib.). Cuulestone 1086 DB (held TRW by Ricardus Sturmid ), Coleston 1272 Pat (held by Loveraz and Spileman ) must have been an alternative name for the place, v. tun .
