'Little farm,' v. tun . Walter Driwe held the manor in 1220 (Bracton), spelt Dreu in 1242 (Fees). Cf. Drewsteignton (PN D 431). Dreu is a Norman-French personal name of Germanic origin (OHG Drogo ).
