Etymology
Thrashnell Barn (old 6″) is Tkreshnels 1625Ct , Thrashnells 1641SR , Dresnols 1773 A and D, Dressnells c. 1840TA , and was the home of Henry de Throstenhale (1327SR ) and Henry de Throstenhill (1337 Pat). This is perhaps from OE þrostlena healh , 'nook or corner of land frequented by thrushes,' v. healh . The s is probably pseudo-manorial.
