Wharfe's Mouth, Querffmyu (sic for Querffmyn )c. 1362 Works, Querfmouth 1422 Pat, Wherfmouth 1509Rent 58, Wharf Mouth 1817 M. v. R. Wharfe (RNs.), mynni 'river-mouth' (as in Airmyn ii, 13), replaced by mūða 'mouth' (as in Nidd Mouths 257infra ).
