Etymology

The modern municipal borough of Keighley now includes the townships of Haworth, Oxenhope and Stanbury (iii, 261, 263, 269 supra ), all in the ancient parish of Bradford in Morley Wapentake, and Oakworth (7infra ), which was originally in the township of Keighley (1822 Langd) and later a separate township.
