Etymology

This township now includes Skelbrooke (ii, 43) and Hamphall Stubbs (ii, 43infra ) from South Kirkby parish in Osgoldcross wapentake. Hamphall Stubbs, though in South Kirkby parish, was also formerly part of Hampole township.
