Etymology

St Dennis Fm olim Broad Moor is Bardemora 1194 Cur (p), Brademor 1203 FFet freq to 1327 SR, Bradmore 1316 FA, 1656 Dugdale, 1725 B, Old St Dennis , New St Dennis 1821 G. “Taking its name from the flat and low situation thereof” (Dugdale 458), v. mor . St Dennis was the patron of the ancient chapelry of Bradmore (1850 White). Cf. Broadmoor supra 87.
