Etymology

Fremsworth (lost) is Fremelesworth 1225Ass (p), 1270 Seld xiii, 1272Ass , 1295 SRS xxi, 1325Ass , Fremeleswurth t. Hy 3For , Frumlesworth 1255Ass , Fremeswurth 1263Ass , Fremesworth 1344 Inq aqd, Framlesworth 1305Ass (p), 1349 Cl, Frymlesworth infra parochiam de Aisshe 1548LRMB , Fremsworth , Frymsworth t. Ed 6Rental .This name would seem to mean 'the worþ belonging to Frimley' (supra 126). Although in another hundred, Frimley once formed part of Ash parish. If this is the history of the name, it is of a type for which we have no early parallel, though we may note the late parallel of Pyrfordworth cited infra 366.
