Etymology
Oatleyhill Fm. Cf. Othull 'a. 1185 (late 12th) Os, Athelle c. 1200–5 Os, Otehulle c. 1230 Os, Othulle c. 1270 Os. First element āte, 'oats.'Second element hyll, which has been corrupted to -ley , the modern word 'hill' being added afterwards.
