Etymology

Blueberry Lodge is Blewberowhyll 1503Isham , Blewbarrowe 1548, 1567Deed , Blueborow Lodge 1654 ParReg (St James, Northampton). The forms are too late for certainty, but the first element may be OE  bla(w), perhaps partly influenced by the adjective 'blue,' hence, 'cold, exposed hill,' v. beorg . The place lies open to the east and north-east.
