Dibbin's Wood is Dybbyngeshirne 1324 Ch, Dybbynges 1538Brudenell , Deepings 17th id. 'Dibbings corner.' Dibbins is here really a plural and not a genitive form as suggested by the modern O.S. spelling. See further s. n. Britain Sale supra 156.
