Etymology
This is a difficult name but one is probably right in assuming that the various forms all go back to Binteshou . This would point to a strong pers. name Binte corresponding to the weak Binta which lies behind Bentworth (Ha), Binteorde Ric i Ch, Bintewurd 1222 Pat. This may be cognate with OHG Binizo , Binzo (Förstemann, PN 307). v. hoh .
