Etymology

'Snjo's farm' from the ODan  Snjó (Nielsen); cf. OIcel  Snǽr and the ON  name-theme Snǽ - (LindN). v. tun . Called Ouer - because it is on higher ground than Sneaton Thorpe 119 infra .
