Porcas Garth 1839, 1847(namedfrom the Porcas family with garð and inntak; the family name wasoriginally Portas, as in Henry Portas 1514* but changes to Porcas, Porcus certainly in 1727 with Charles Porcus, but note Joseph Portus and DavidPorcus both recorded 1776 PR)
