Etymology
Manwood Bridge (6″) is Romynbridge 1432 ECP, Rammynsbregge c. 1561 Paper. The hill leading from the bridge towards Colchester is known as Roman Hill (6″), on which, in East Donyland, is Roman Hill Fm infra 388.
