Night Cow Leaze(cf.'a mill now abandoned near Knyght brydge' 1544 WRO, probably'bridge where young men gathered', v. cniht,brycg; the mill and bridge were no doubt on R. Bride which forms the S boundaryof the par., cf. the mill at Chilcombe in 1086 DB(VCHDo 3 111))
