Bride, cf par. name supra , RNs. infra . The affix is manorial: Stephen de Bonevil , Bonevyle held half a knight's fee here in 1285, 1303 FA, cf. Hutch3 2281 and, for the same family, cf. Bhompston Fm in Stinsford par. 1 367.There is mention of a mill here in 1086 DB, cf. also 'the church of Brydye Bonevyle '1320 Drew.
