Etymology
Bincombe is in Frampton liberty, v. note under Culliford Tree hundred supra . In 1933 parts of Bincombe were added to the borough of Weymouth, and parts of the pars, of Broadwey, Preston and Upwey were added to Bincombe, for civil purposes (Kelly).
