Etymology
'Mogga 's ridge,' cf. Mogworthy supra 390. Wallenberg (StudNP 2, 94) notes that John Mogge and Stephen Mogg were tenants in Devon in 1285 and 1346 respectively. Cf. also Richard Mogge , a juror in Tiverton Hundred in 1244 (Ass ).
