Etymology

v. tun . The first element must be a pers. name Lufa or Lēofa with the intrusive vowel noticed supra xxxvi. Cf. also William Lovya and Robert Lovye 1309, 1318 Exon. Baldwin le Bastard held the manor in 1284 (FA).
