Etymology

'Tāta's nook', from the OE  pers.n. Tāta and halh (dat.sg. hale ), with hall , lane , myln , wudu , sīde . The mill is probably 'a water mill in Tatenhall '1414 ChRR. It gives name to Mill Brook infra .
