Sandbach
Parish in the County of Cheshire
Etymology
The greater part of Sandbach parish lies in Northwich Hundred, v. 2264, but two of its townships are in Nantwich Hundred, 5. Betchton, 6. Hassall (part of this township was in Barthomley parish 2supra ). Hassall was in Mildestuic (Northwich) Hundred in 1086, the same hundred as its parent parish, and so, probably, was Betchton, though not mentioned in DB.
