Etymology
One township of this parish, Weaver, is in Eddisbury Hundred, although it lay with the rest of the parish in Mildestuic (h ) hundred DB, v. 160supra . The date of transfer is not known, and is probably part of the post-conquest reorganisation of the hundreds. Weaver is now included in Darnhall township.
