Etymology

'East farm.' Known as Ilmer 's Aston from its close association with Ilmer, Aston Bernard from Thomas son of Bernard who held the manor in the 12th cent. and Mullins from the Moleyns family who held it in the 14th cent. (FA 1346). Cf. Round, King 's Serjeants 303–310.
